Demetrious George visits with Johanny Velasquez at Woodward West. Demetrious took time to show Jo Jo tips on how he is able to jump so high.
Jan 2nd, I made a trip to Intuition Skate shop to visit Matt Mickey and the local Bakersfield skate scene. I arrived at the store, after skating the park on Rosedale, to find my skate in the front window of Matt’s shop.
Matt Mickey does an amazing job promoting the sport. He has really increased the skating scene in the Bakersfield area. There needs to be more Matt Mickey’s in this world. Start getting your friends and people in your area on skates.
If each of us could get 5 new ppl on skates, our sport would grow tremendously.
The past month has been super busy with demos and sweet skate sessions. This past Saturday, Dec 12th was a very special day though.
Every year, the Jamieson Center, a short-term facility that provides abused, neglected, and abandoned children of Kern County a temporary, safe haven where their needs can be met while under custody of Kern County, visits Woodward for a Holiday Party.

My new team manager, Mark Korte, of USD and The Conference came all the way from Germany to visit me at Woodward West in October. We were able to talk about my upcoming skate release and hang out. He is super cool and totally supports a grass roots movement in our sport. I am super excited about the opportunity that he is giving me by giving me my own Jr. Pro Skate.
THANK YOU USD for believing in me. Mark even gave me my first Euro $.
